October 12-18 Oral Presentations

Oral Presentations

You will present your visual aid to a small group of students.  You will talk for only 2-4 minutes.  Please tell your group about your life.  Please bring your phone fully charged and able to film your talk.  If you don't have a phone with video, please contact Pamila at least 2 days BEFORE the day of your presentation.

There are 4 things you will talk about:

REQUIRED:
1.  You need to talk about one regret from your life.
2.  One event from your timeline. (use past perfect tense)

REQUIRED - 2 of the following things.  (Your choice)
The hobby you want to learn in the future.
One item from your bucket list.
The place you want to visit in the future.

Please don't say something like, "I want to play guitar.  It is fun."  That tells us nothing about you.  WHAT IS THE INSPIRATION?  WHY do you want to learn it?   .  Why do you think it is fun?  You are talking to your friends.  Please try to remember that.
"Fun" is not a good enough reason.  You wouldn't say anything that trite or banal in Korean.
Don't do it in English.  It's insulting.

Please talk with passion - this is your life!

DO NOT MEMORIZE.

You will sound terrible if you memorize.  AND you will lose points.

This is like you are talking to your friends at a dinner party.  Enjoy it!

Here is what you are graded on:
